Letter of Intent

A 90-day bridge while your licence moves.

If you are licensed in a state or market where PREN does not yet hold a brokerage licence, a Letter of Intent lets you affiliate with PREN on a temporary basis while you work through the move. It is a bridge across a gap, and it is built to end.

90 days
Then it ends. Automatically, with no renewal and no extension.
No platform access
No PREN systems, data, tools, leads, training or benefits while it runs.
Temporary by design
A bridge during a licence move, not a long-term arrangement.

The terms

Three things to be clear about before you sign.

You will be asked to acknowledge each of these individually on the form, and the wording you agree to is recorded with your letter.

01

It ends after 90 days.

Every Letter of Intent runs 90 days from the day it is filed. The end date is set on that day and does not move. It does not renew quietly in the background, and it cannot be extended — if you need longer, that is a new letter, signed again, with a new end date.

02

It carries no access.

A Letter of Intent is not an agent account. While it is in place you have no access to PREN systems, data, tools, leads, listings, training or benefits, and you cannot practice real estate under PREN. Those begin when your licence is placed with a PREN brokerage licensed in your market — not before.

03

It is temporary, and both sides stay free.

This is a bridge during a licence move, not a long-term relationship. It does not oblige PREN to affiliate with you when the period ends, and it does not oblige you to join PREN. Nobody is locked in by signing it.

Who it is for

Built for the gap between markets.

A Letter of Intent may fit if

  • You hold an active licence in a state or market PREN is not licensed in yet.
  • You have decided to move and need time to work through the transfer.
  • Your association, MLS or current brokerage paperwork is still in progress.
  • You want your intent on record with PREN while the move happens.

What it is not

  • It is not affiliation with a PREN brokerage of record in your market.
  • It is not permission to practice, advertise or hold yourself out under PREN.
  • It is not an agent account, and it opens no PREN systems or data to you.
  • It is not a compensation plan, and it pays nothing.
  • It is not open-ended, and it is not renewed by default.

If PREN already holds a brokerage licence where you are licensed, you do not need a Letter of Intent — apply directly and PREN will help you transfer. Real estate licensing is regulated state by state and country by country; a Letter of Intent does not change what your own regulator requires of you.

How it runs

From signed to finished.

  1. 1
    You submit
The short form on this page. It costs nothing and commits you to nothing until a broker countersigns.
  2. 2
    A PREN broker reviews
Within one business day. They confirm your market, your licence status, and whether an LOI is the right instrument at all.
  3. 3
    The term starts
Day one is the day the letter is filed. Day 90 is fixed from it and cannot be moved.
  4. 4
    We check in
Before the end date, so it never lapses on you quietly. Nothing about your licence changes because a term ran out.
  5. 5
    It ends
On day 90, automatically. If your licence has landed in a PREN market by then, you apply and onboard as an agent. If not, the letter simply ends.
On the record

The 3 acknowledgements you tick are stored with your letter in the exact wording shown, alongside the date the term starts and the date it ends. You can ask for a copy at any time.

Request a Letter of Intent

Requesting one costs nothing. A PREN broker reviews it before anything is countersigned.

What you are agreeing to

All three are required. The wording below is recorded with your Letter of Intent exactly as it appears here.

Your 90 days start the day the letter is filed. The end date is set from that day and does not move.

Already licensed where PREN is?

Then skip the bridge. Apply directly and PREN handles the association and MLS paperwork with you.
